Dear Students,
Let me begin by welcoming you to North Arkansas College. Please use this catalog as a guide to the services, academic programs, courses, activities, and resources available to you as a student.
Your choice to attend Northark will save you a ton of money and provide you with a high-quality education. Northark is truly a remarkable college known for excellence in university transfer, workforce development, information technology, health professions education, cultural focus, and sense of family.
Our academic programs have received national recognition for excellence, ranking high among 2- and 4-year institutions across the country. The Registered Nursing program was ranked as the 2019 #1 Best Value in the State of Arkansas for high-quality instruction and affordability.
If you are on a career path, partnerships with business and industry provide expanded learning opportunities that lead to career entry and advancement. Our technical programs provide hands-on training to get students into their chosen career field in a short amount of time. Last fall Northark because the first FANUC Authorized Satellite Training (FAST) Center for robotics in the state of Arkansas. The first classes were filled to capacity and we have a waiting list eager to participate in FANUC robotics training.
In addition to high-quality academics and technical programs, you’ll find an array of support services that show how much Northark cares about your success. A food pantry, tax preparation, job board and financial and career coaching are all provided free to our students.
Northark has developed specific transfer guides to popular majors at many institutions. We offer several two-year degrees useful for transfer purposes including the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of General Studies.
There are many activities, events and student organizations to get involved in on campus. Last year, we added intramural sports to the many opportunities to have fun on campus.
While you’re here, I encourage you to explore our campus and attend one of our athletic events to cheer on the Pioneers!
I wish you the best of luck, and I am confident that you will achieve your goals at North Arkansas College.
Sincerely,
Dr. Randy Esters, President
