CIT 1253 - Network Security I Credits: 3 This is a course that prepares students for any of the basic network security certification exams, such as COMPTIA’s Security+. This course provides students with a fundamental understanding of network security principles and implementation. Topics include the types and methods of attacks, security topologies, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, physical security, security policies, and basic computer forensics. Prerequisite(s): CIT 1103 or permission of instructor.
