The Associate of Science in Science, Engineering, and Mathematics is a transfer degree for the student who plans to major in a SEM (Science, Engineering, Math) field. Students planning to transfer should work closely with a Northark advisor to follow the prescribed selection of courses, and other requirements, needed for transfer into a bachelor’s program. 

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills across disciplines appropriate for a STEM major. 
  • Apply life skills in areas such as teamwork, interpersonal relationships, ethics, and study habits. 
  • Communicate clearly in written and oral formats 
  • Use technology appropriate for a STEM major 
  • Discuss issues of a diverse global society 
  • Demonstrate math, statistical, and scientific skills appropriate for a STEM major.

The below MAP is for Engineering but we offer MAPs in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Physical Science, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Exercise Science, Physical Therapy, Dental Hygiene, and Pre Med. Please speak to your advisor for more information.
