EMS 1014 - Medical Professional Education EMS II Credits: 4 The second EMT course which will be offered in the Spring semester will consist of 4 credit hours. This course will continue where EMT I left off with focus on the mastery of learned EMT skills. These skills will be put into action by participation in mock simulations including psychomotor assessment and trauma assessment. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in pre-planned scenarios on Northark’s training ambulance with instructors available to guide and correct before moving on to the minimum number of “hands-on” workplace clinical hours. The minimum clinical hours are determined and required by the accreditation and Arkansas State standards. This course will end with a psychomotor exam, and a didactic final that will allow the student to challege the National Registry Exam after completion. Lecture 4 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): EMS 1005
