SM 1003 - Introduction to Sports Management Credits: 3 This course is designed to introduce students to the sports industry, including major and minor league sports, sporting goods companies, independent sports marketing and management, parks & recreation departments, and collegiate sports coaching and administration. This course explores the major segments of this industry including sports marketing and promotions, ticket sales, sports-related public relations, events management, concession management, sports financial management, sports operations and facility management, and sports tourism.
