MLT 2214 - Clinical Hematology Credits: 4 This course includes principles, testing, and pathological states in hematology. Emphasis is placed on the most common procedures utilized in a hematology department and a basic understanding of hematopoiesis. Upon completion of the course, the student will understand the clinical role hematology plays in the treatment of patients. Class meets for five weeks; Lecture 9 hours and Laboratory 6 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in all previous MLT courses or approval of instructor.
