MM 2543 - Introduction to Project Management Credits: 3 This course examines project management in theory and practice and the roles and responsibilities of the project manager. The course offers a practical approach to managing projects, focusing on organizing, planning, and controlling the efforts of the project for first-time project managers. Case studies, active participation in team exercises, practical information, and capstone exercises reinforce learning. The course also provides training in the use of software tools including database, email, presentation, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing. Lecture 3 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): CIS 1103 or approval of instructor
