AST 1203 - Automotive Electronics I Credits: 3 This course assumes a sound understanding of basic electronic concepts and test equipment. Topics include theory and operation of electronic control systems, including sensors, actuators, and microprocessor-based scanned control systems. Additionally, power generation, conditioning, and distribution will be covered. This course together with ART 2203 Automotive Electronics II provides the preparation necessary for students to obtain ASE Certification in the area of Automotive Electronics. Lecture 2 hours and laboratory 3 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): ET 1003 or higher ET course or permission of instructor.
