Dear Students,
Let me begin by welcoming you to North Arkansas College. Please use this catalog as guide to the services, academic programs, courses, activities, and resources available to you as a student.
Your choice to attend Northark will save you a ton of money and provide you with a high-quality education. Northark is truly a remarkable college known for excellence in university transfer, workforce development, information technology, heath care education, cultural focus, and sense of community.
Our academic programs have received national recognition for excellence, ranking high among 2 and 4 year institutions across the country. In 2018, Northark was ranked the 17th Best Community College in the nation.
In addition to high-quality academics, you’ll find an array of support services that show how much Northark cares about your success. A food pantry, tax preparation, job board and financial and career coaching are all provided free to our students.
Northark has developed specific transfer guides to popular majors at many institutions. We offer several two-year degrees useful for transfer purposes including the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Associate of General Studies degrees.
If you are on a career path, partnerships with business and industry provide expanded learning opportunities that lead to career entry and advancement. We provide hands-on training programs that reach into the workplace to provide students with opportunities to make seamless transitions from the classroom to a career.
This year, students will enjoy a newly remodeled state-of-the-art Learning Resource Center on the south campus. The new Learning Resource Center provides quiet rooms to study, allows group collaboration and offers tutoring and comfortable areas to lounge in-between classes.
While you’re here, I encourage you to explore our campus and attend one of our athletic events to cheer on the Pioneers!
I wish you the best of luck, and I am confident that you will achieve your goals at North Arkansas College.
Sincerely,
Dr. Randy Esters, President
