ET 2454 - Industrial Control Systems


Credits: 4
This course is a study of the architecture, application, programming, and interfacing of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). It includes programming in Relay Ladder Logic with a strong foundation in Allen-Bradley RSLogic 500. Students will design and write programs to control industrial equipment in the lab. The course concludes with an introduction to the RSLogic 5000 and demonstration of its advanced capabilities. Lecture 2 hours and laboratory 6 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): ET 1003 or higher.
