A scientific study of the principles of botany. Provides the foundation for other advanced courses in the biological sciences. Includes an in-depth study of the properties, structure and function, growth, and classifications of plants. Concepts of plant reproduction, photosynthesis, ecology, and genetics are included. Appropriate for biology majors. Lecture 3 hours and laboratory 2 hours per week.
