DVSC 1013 - Intermediate Data Science

Intermediate Data Science (DVSC 1013) provides an in-depth introduction to the essential elements of data science: data collection and management; summarizing and visualizing data; basic ideas of statistical inference; predictive analytics and machine learning.  Students will continue their hands-on experience using the Python and R programming languages and Jupyter notebooks.  Lecture 3 hours per week. Pre/Co-requisites Pre- or co-req of either CIS 2011 R for Data Science or CIS 2013 Programming in R or DVSC 1104 Programming Languages for Data Science.
