Your choice to attend Northark will be a choice I and the faculty and staff take very seriously. We know you will save a ton of money and will receive an exceptional education. Our Technical workforce development programs are consistently ranked among the best in the state and region.
If you are headed to the university, Northark has developed many transfer partnerships that provide you with a seamless transfer experience.
In addition, Northark offers state-of-the-art programs that are in high demand throughout the area, region, state, and nation. High demands skilled training is available in an environment that not only introduces and teaches you the best practices of the trade but allows you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, where you not only learn the reasons why task accomplished but equally important how to do those tasks.
Since 1974, when founding president Dr. Bill Baker brought Northark College into existence, Northark has been a conduit that fills the employment pipeline with skilled graduates for high-wage and in-demand careers. Numerous partnerships with business and industry provide expanded learning opportunities that lead to career entry and advancement. Check out our internship and apprenticeship opportunities that give students the opportunity to earn money on the job while they are pursuing their education.
In addition to high-quality academics, affordable tuition, and a variety of academic programs, you will find an array of support services that show how much Northark cares about your success. A food pantry, tax preparation, a job board, and financial and career coaching are all provided free to our students. Need help with your studies? You can find tutors in our Learning Resource Center and many faculty and staff who are here to help you along your educational journey.
While you are on campus, I encourage you to take advantage of the many activities, events, and student organizations that will expand your horizons. Northark has been shaping futures for 48 years, and I am confident you will benefit from your time here. You should enter this journey with the Pioneering spirit of discovery. Be inquisitive and curious in your journey, you may very well find a talent or ability you never knew you possessed. Many of today’s inventions, widgets, medical cures, and mechanical advancements were conceived and nurtured through new talent looking and not asking why but why not. I hope you experience the life of a Pioneer in more ways than you could have ever imagined, and glad you selected the Northark family to accompany you on your journey.
