Pre-Allied Health

The Certificate in Pre-Allied Health provides foundation courses for students seeking admission in Allied Health programs with selective admission criteria. Students must have a minimum grade of “C” in each course.

This degree prepares students for entry into health related AAS programs such as RN, LPN-RN, Rad Tech, Surg Tech and Paramedic and Med Lab Tech. ET 1134 (previously MAT 1134) Applied Algebra & Trigonometry will not be accepted as an option for the math requirement for this program.

First Semester: 12-13 Credits

ORT 1002 - Northark First Year Experience Credits: 2
HP 1042 - Medical Terminology Credits: 2 or HP 1043 Medical Terminology and Communication Credits / Units: 3
MAT 1013 - Mathematics for Career and Technology Credits: 3 or higher. Even if students place into a higher-level Math course, MAT 1013 is preferred to assure that medication calculation is completed in MAT 1013 prior to program entry.
BIOL 2214 - Anatomy and Physiology I Credits: 4
ENGL 1013 - English Composition I Credits: 3

Second Semester: 16 Credits
