The Certificate of General Studies is designed to recognize the completion of a general education core of 31 credits. It allows students to earn an academic award in about one year or serves as an intermediate step toward an Associate of Arts Degree. It is designed to meet lower-division requirements in General Education for most four-year institutions. Students planning to transfer should work closely with a North Arkansas College advisor to follow the prescribed selection of courses and other requirements needed for transfer into a bachelor’s program.
