The Associate of Science in Science, Engineering, and Mathematics is a transfer degree for the student who plans to major in a SEM (Science, Engineering, Math) field. Students planning to transfer should work closely with a Northark advisor to follow the prescribed selection of courses, and other requirements, needed for transfer into a bachelor’s program.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Complete coursework in at least one SEM discipline that will prepare them for advanced study in that discipline at a transfer institution.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills within a scientific or mathematical context.
- Demonstrate the ability to design & conduct experiments.
- Demonstrate the ability to collect & interpret data.
Below is an example of a degree plan for a pre-engineering student. Classes will vary based on the chosen field of study in science and/or math. Please see your advisor for more information.
