CEO 1202 - Equipment Fundamentals and Operating Principles

Students are introduced to the basic operating principles and mechanical systems of heavy construction equipment. Instruction covers start-up and shutdown procedures, control functions, braking and clutch systems, hydraulic and power controls, and the use of operator’s manuals. Students also practice basic maneuvering, inspection, and maintenance skills with a strong emphasis on operational safety. Lecture 2 hours per week.
