EMS 1014 - Medical Professional Education EMS II Credits: 4 The second EMT course, offered in the Spring semester, will be 4 credit hours. This course will continue where Med Pro Ed EMT I left off, with a focus on mastering the learned EMT skills. These skills will be put into practice through participation in mock simulations, including psychomotor and trauma assessments. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in pre-planned scenarios on Northark’s training ambulance with instructors available to guide and correct before moving on to the minimum number of “hands-on” workplace clinical hours. The minimum clinical hours are determined by accreditation standards and Arkansas State standards. This course will end with a psychomotor exam and a didactic final, allowing the student to challenge the National Registry Exam (NREMT) upon completion. Lecture: 4 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): EMS 1005
