HVAC 1304 - Building Automation Systems

Credits: 4
This course provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts, theories, and applications of Building Automation Systems (BAS). Topics covered in Lecture/Lab include Direct Digital Controls (DDC), communication protocols, and networking platforms commonly used in the HVAC/R Industry. Additional topics include software operation, system integration, and installation procedures. Lecture 2 hours and lab 4 hours per week. Pre/Co-requisites HVAC 1216  Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Fundamentals with a grade of “C” or better.
