UAS 1103 - Remote Sensing


Credits: 3
This course introduces the principles and applications of remote sensing using uncrewed aerial systems (UAS). Students will explore sensor technologies, data collection methods, and image processing techniques for applications such as mapping, surveying, agriculture, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure inspection. Topics include multispectral and thermal imaging, LiDAR, photogrammetry, and integration of UAS platforms with remote sensing systems. Through hands-on projects and real-world case studies, students will gain the skills to collect, analyze, and interpret sensor data to support decision-making across various industries. Lecture 3 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): UAS 1004
