RADT 2183 - Radiographic Imaging II

This course includes an in-depth study of components, principles and operation of computed and digital imaging systems found in diagnostic imaging. It includes the study of construction of imaging receptors and conversion of the latent image. Factors that affect image acquisition, display, archiving, and retrieval are discussed. The causes and methods for elimination artifacts for digital imaging are also addressed. Other topics include equipment operation, digital imaging characteristics, imaging receptors, components of fluoroscopic units, and quality control of imaging equipment. Prerequisites: RADT 1184 and RADT 1203. Lecture 3 hours per week.
