ENGR 2204 - Renewable Energies and Sustainability


Credits: 4

This course will introduce the student to renewable and sustainable energy sources such as Solar Panels, Wind Turbines, Geothermal, Hydroelectric, and Biomass. Topics in Lecture / Lab include alternative energy sources, basic functions, components, system design, associated cost of renewable energy systems, and their impact on the environment. Along with safety, design, integration, and installation techniques of scaled solar, wind, and hydroelectric power systems. Lecture 2 hour and Laboratory 6 hours per week.
