North Arkansas College will be open for normal business operations during its posted hours of operation unless announced otherwise.
Day classes (occurring before 5 pm)
For day classes occurring before 5 p.m., Northark follows the decision of Harrison and Berryville School Districts. If Harrison School District is closed, the Harrison campuses close as well. If Berryville School District closes, Northark follows that decision for the Carroll County Center. Northark will make a good faith effort to announce the decision before 6:00 AM each morning. When classes are cancelled, offices are closed.
Evening Classes (occurring after 5 pm)
To accommodate students who commute long distances to campus, Northark will announce a decision about evening classes by 3:00 P.M. to allow adequate time for travel to evening courses.
Afternoon classes that begin before 5:00 P.M. and end after 5:00 P.M. will be handled individually. The instructor will notify students if the class is cancelled. When classes are cancelled, offices are closed.
When classes are cancelled, offices are closed. Even when the College is not closed, students, faculty, and staff should use personal discretion regarding their travel decisions. Students should contact their instructor to notify them they cannot attend class and make any necessary arrangements regarding assignments. Employees should contact their immediate supervisor to notify them they cannot attend work.
