This MAP serves as a guideline to graduate in 8 semesters. The Key Milestones/Prerequisites listed for each semester highlight significant achievements that must be completed in the degree track. Students who do not follow the eight semester plan and/or who do not complete identified milestones may jeopardize their financial aid (if applicable) and/or delay graduation. Please refer to the Northark catalog or advisor for any changes or modifications which may have occurred after the publication of this document.

Academic Preparedness
Northark recognizes the important connection between student success and academic preparedness. Students may be required to complete one or more of the following courses before enrolling in the MAP sequence of courses. Summer and/or intercession courses may be required to graduate within 8 semesters. Developmental course credits earned do not count towards degree completion requirements.

Radiologic Technology
The Radiologic Technology Program is a two-year program providing clinical and didactical education in the field. Upon graduation, the student will receive an Associate of Applied Science degree, as well as eligibility to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Examination for Radiographers. This examination certifies the applicant as a Registered Technologist, RT (R), ARRT.
In addition to the regular college admission requirements, prospective students must submit a Radiologic Technology Program application file by March 1. No student will be considered for program admission unless the file is complete. Only applicants who have completed or have in progress BIOL 2214 - Anatomy and Physiology I , BIOL 2224 - Anatomy and Physiology II , and CP 0933 , MAT 1011 and MAT 1012 (or a higher level of mathematics) will be considered. Students are required to maintain a minimum grade of “C” in each course required in the entire Radiologic Technology Program curriculum. This includes both general education and Radiologic Technology courses. An overall GPA of 2.0 is required for admission into the Program and for graduation. MAT or ET 1134 will not be accepted as an option for the math requirement for this program.

Students must complete each required course in the remainder of this MAP with a minimum grade of “C” to obtain this degree.
Students begin in the Pre-Allied Health Technical Certificate. Required courses in the Pre-Allied Health Technical Certificate to be completed prior to entry include:

Students who complete the above Prerequisites are ready to apply to the Rad Tech Program. Upon written program acceptance, the following courses are taken. RADT courses must be taken in the following sequence:

**ET 1134 (previously MAT 1134) Applied Algebra & Trigonometry will not be accepted as an option for the Math requirement for this program.
#Requires a grade of “C” or higher in CHEM 1214 (or a “B” or higher in two semesters of high school chemistry) or BIOL 1014 or BIOL 1434 .
Northark has an agreement with Cox College in Springfield and ASU-Fort Smith for all courses in this program to be accepted upon transfer. See advisors for additional information about those programs and additional credits required for entry to complete a BS degree.
