MLT 2274 - Clinical Microbiology II Credits: 4 This course will be a continuation of Clinical Microbiology I with emphasis on culturing and staining techniques and isolation and identification of common pathogens encountered in clinical settings as well as identification of normal flora found in various parts of the body. This course will cover an overview of anaerobes, Mycobacterium, Spirochetes plus additional organisms. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in all previous MLT courses or instructor’s approval. Lecture 3 hours and Laboratory 2 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in all previous MLT courses or instructor’s approval.
