BIOL 1144 - Environmental Science

The study of the earth as a habitat.  Interrelationships between humans and the environment. Environmental and geological factors in urban, rural, and regional land use.  This course is composed of a series of lectures and discussions introducing the topics of environmental science including factors related to population, water, soil, wildlife, forest and air quality. It includes the study of man’s interaction with the environment, the energy crisis, and pollution problems including solid waste, noise, pesticides, radiation, and poisonous substances. Lab required.
